It’s been rather a while since I purchased a new lippy, and because in my opinion, MAC lipsticks are a total rite of passage, I tootled off to the Covent Garden store sharpish. I had heard great things about the MAC Liptensity Lipsticks. What attracted me first was the packaging- a little sleeker than the regular, traditional MAC bullet, plus, the colour of the lipstick is the same as its outer shell.  As a creature of habit; I always tend to go with the same shade- a 90’s nude with a hint of pink; which is exactly what the shade Smoked Almond is.

Smoked Almond is a medium, rather dark, pinky-brown, with a blue undertone that can almost give off a hint of mauve in some lighting.  It has a creamy, buttery texture that applies well, offering the lip full coverage, and is opaque in just one application. Due to the creamy consistency, it isn’t drying at all, if anything it actually hydrates the lips, whilst still giving them a fabulous shade.

The satin finish gives your overall face a total lift, and is such a modem, on-trend colour, it will update your #FOTD (Face of the Day) in seconds!
