The Beauty and The Beast Box!

06:05:00

In case you have been living on Mars since about December, you may not know that those ingenious people at Disney have only gone and filmed a remake of quite possibly the BEST Disney film of all time. Beauty and the Beast, the stunning animation has been transformed into a big screen, live-action movie, staring Emma Watson. I actually received some special tickets to the press screening last week, so I’ve already seen it. And I can confirm its BRILLIANT. Visually stunning, and it’s truly a beautiful creation. Go and see it when its released next week.

So! To celebrate, the clever people at Latest In Beauty have produced a one-off, limited edition beauty box that is themed to fit in exactly with the upcoming film. Plus, the box itself looks like a leather bound book, which you can keep forever!

I have always loved beauty boxes; it’s such a great way to try out a variety of products in miniature form before you purchase them full price, plus its fab for discovering new brands you wouldn’t necessarily come across.
The Beauty Box is worth over £80! A lot of beauty boxes have a few duds, but this one really doesn’t- it includes a whopping seven luxury products. The film of course, is set in the French Renaissance, so there are a few Parisian inspired items, and also a definite element of rosy scents (a nod to the enchanted rose in the film)

First up, you have the Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage, in a super duper 75ml full size. It is a gel exfoliator that lathers up a treat when you apply it.

Use it twice a week, this gentle balm transforms into a super nourishing oil, which clears your pores and gets rid of dead skin cells, giving you that Belle- like glow.

Roses et Reines Hand and Nail Cream by L’Occitane is a diddy 10ml tube, but there’s a lot packed in there. This cream makes your hands SO soft, and has a really velvety texture. The smell is just exquisite; the rose scent is so strong and Moorish. I will def be purchasing a full size version.

I’ve been itching to try the famed Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo for so long, but have never taken the plunge because admittedly it is highly expensive. So you can imagen my joy when I saw this beauty nestled in the box! The translucent spray instantly absorbs grease, but doesn’t leave your roots powdery like other brands tend to. It also has the most amazing, fresh smell and keeps dirt at bay all day.

Who doesn’t love a classic red manicure? This Soigne Botanique nail polish in Betteraves Red is a fabulous rich rouge, which is blue toned and so eye-catching on the nails. It was easy to apply with the wide brush, and is surprisingly chip resistant.

Everyone has great things to say about Burt’s Bees lip products, and their new lipstick found its way into this box and I’m so glad! It’s a full sized product, and I totally heart the packaging- the beehive embossing is so cute and the muted brown colour bullet makes it a stylish piece to look at. I got the shade Blush Basin, which is a creamy, pink-toned nude. It glides on easily and makes your lips feel so moist and hydrated, whilst adding colour.

I LOVE Caudalie products, (particularly their infamous Beauty Elixir) so was exceptionally pleased to be able to sample the Moisturising Sorbet. This balmy substance is a gel to cream formula that’s main aim is to store the water content in your face. It’s also non-comedogenic so its natural and shouldn’t break you out due to nasty ingredients many face creams contain.

Lastly- this gorgeous gold compact mirror would look great in your make-up bag. It has the rose design etched on the front which totally is a nod to the film. Its handy and elegant- the perfect combo!

The Beauty and the Beast box is priced at £20, and available to purchase at Latest in Beauty  now!
