The posh (yet inexpensive) tea set you need to own!

I really am, a granny at heart. I think, if I had to liken myself to a particular famous, well-known granny, it would have to be Maggie Smith’s character in Downton Abbey, Lady Violet. Anyway, the reason I am babbling on about the older generation, is because I have become rather obsessed with tea sets recently. Yes, really.

There is nothing quite like a well-made cup of tea. I don’t care what anyone says; there’s definitely an art to it- heck- my Dad reckons it’s a life skill. Also, presentation goes a long way. There’s a reason people flock to the Ritz - ok, yes its largely due to the exquisite taste of the tea and cake, but also the gorgeous, lady like china and little cups and saucers. You know I’m right.

I got this beautiful tea set for Christmas, and I just have to show it to you, because it’s just gorgeous. And a truly great price too; I think it looks majorly expensive.

The Hollywood set by Marks and Spencer’s is vital for any tea lover. This beautiful, super light china, has lovely, pastel shades etched on it, and topped with accents of real gold. It’s also is wonderfully packaged; in mint green hat boxes!

How fabulous is that? Plus, you can buy a set of four cups and saucers, a teapot, and a sugar creamer set all for under £80 for the whole shebang. It’s a great gift for any home, or why not treat yoself? Invite the girls over for a spot of tea and cake, the stylish way!
