September Favourites

07:25:00

I know I say this every single blooming month, but how QUICK has this year gone? I cant believe we are now in October. Seriously?
Anyway, on to the things I've been obsessing about in September.

First up, I am all about the natural glow of late; and I am totally coveting the Royal Oil by Too Faced. Yes, its a luxury buy, but its totally worth it due to its colour payoff and also the all round superb quality.

This instant tanning oil smells completely scrumptious due to the main ingredient of coconut. Gently smooth onto your bod for fabulous, velvety skin in seconds. Although it looks incredibly shimmery in the bottle; don't be fooled, as once applied, it gives a really light, pleasant, sun kissed glow. It also dries super quick, so it won't stain your clobber either.

I'm not the biggest contour fan- I think it can look rather harsh when not applied correctly. That being said, there's nothing wrong with enhancing your face subtly, and this affordable palette from Rimmel is the nuts. It contains the standard three powders- a soft highlight, gentle blush and a shading contour. All three shades in this aptly named coral offering aren't too harsh on the skin; but still give great definition.  The powders are long lasting, soft and smooth in texture and blend with ease. Its a very well performing product, for such a small price tag. Give it a whirl!

Another Rimmel product!  Step up the Kate Moss collection lipstick in Boho Nude. Ive always adored the Kate Moss range for Rimmel; its such a perfect celeb collaboration, and their lipsticks are always first rate. The eye-catching rose gold packaging is especially easy on the eye. The lipstick is ultra moisturising, and gives a gorge opaque finish, with a charming, fruity smell. Boho nude epitomes its name- its a pigmented, warm-toned apricot nude but isn't too light or barely there. It definitely gives a good colour payout to the lips due to the high pigmentation. I adore the pleasing, satin finish- as good as any MAC offering at half the price.

I am useless when it comes to my nails. They don't ever grow, and whenever I paint them, it always seems to chip to high heaven! However, on the rare occasion I do decide to decorate my nails, I often turn to white. Such a classic, neutral shade, yet it still stands out. Blanc De Lune from Loreal's Colour Riche Le Vernis A L'Huile range is a gem. The packaging is quite different to generic polish bottles- its a quilted offering that kinda reminds me of a Chanel bag! The shade is very much like snow- its such a fresh, crisp white that instantly elongates hands and makes nails look chic in seconds. The brush is a wide shape so its very easy to cover your entire nail surface in one stroke. Because it contains oil, it gives the nails instant shine; I don't even bother with a top coat! You only need one coat for a completely, opaque finish. A salon style manicure in seconds with this bad boy. And it lasts longer than three days, which is a record for me and my man hands!

I feel like shampoo and conditioner and the most boring, laborious things to review. However, when you find a good pair, they just cant be ignored! I won't babble on too much- but I found this dynamic duo in Waitrose and have thoroughly enjoyed using them. They obviously contain Argan oil which everyone knows is amazing for repairing your locks. Its super nourishing; and the smell of both- wooooah I  could eat them; so moorish! I feel like the combination of both products really smooths down my flyaway hairs, making my hair instantly soft. Also, the shampoo lathers up really well-and rinses with ease leaving your barnet squeaky clean. And you can pick them up whilst you do your weekly grocery shop! Who doesn't love that easy life?

Lastly, I’ve mentioned before I love a bit of dry shampoo. Its a lifesaver, and gives my flat hair a bit of a voluminous height. I love the Coco Loco range from Lee Stafford, and decided to switch things up and give the dry shampoo a test. God its gorgeous. The most amazing, summery, coconut smell. It lifts the root, dissolves grease (yuck, but true) and doesn’t leave powdery marks. In short, its brilliant!
