Forget Gangnam, try Gingham Style!

Gingham, never really goes out of style, and has returned with a vengeance this summer. Tops, bags, and dresses are adorned with the traditional and well-loved print. For some reason, it always reminds me of a tablecloth at a picnic, but there you go. That being said, the combo of contrasting black and white checks look good on everyone and gives an immediate relaxed vibe when wearing it. This summer, I am formally telling you, to go gingham.

Illustrating my point, I picked up this adorable shirt dress from New Look, and I heart the casual fit. It’s quite loose, has rolled up sleeves, front pockets, and comes with a handy tie belt, which is great if you are curved like me and need to highlight the fact you have a small waist.
I teamed it with my simple black wedges (similar here) and my new embroidered bag that I can’t stop looking at.

The perfect frock for a summer gathering, or just throw on with flats for work. Check mate!
