The best bronzer I have ever used

00:24:00

So, I have had a bit of a beauty epiphany. Well, kind of. Basically, my to go to bronzer has always been Benefit's Hoola. It’s a Holy Grail product that I’ve been using since I was about 18. Until last week.

I stumbled across this Outdoor Bronzer in the shade Speedy Sienna by Kiko whilst having a quick browse, and I really do think that is the best one I have ever used. Inspired by this summer’s Olympic games (it has numbers embossed on the powder, that looks a bit like a track) this 'outdoor' bronzer is definitely a nod to this summer's sporting festivities.

Firstly, it’s blooming MASSIVE. Like seriously. 25g worth of product, incased in a sleek, large white palette with a great big mirror. I have to say, I love a large mirror. Sooo handy to pop in your bag and I feel like it really does help you to do your make up properly. No squinting into a silly puney one- this compact means business. Plus, it costs just over £12. And for such a large quantity of product, it really is brilliant value for money.

Secondly- the smell. Think of when you open a jar of hot chocolate powder, and the sweet, tasty scent hits you? That’s what it smells like. It’s not overpowering either, just really delightful to use.

And lastly, the finish and colour are first rate. This is a matte bronzer; there are zero sparkly bits, so great for giving your face definition. Yes its rather dark, but you wont look like an Oompa Loompa if you simply dust it lightly across your face. The texture is ultra smooth and velvety; it feels really soft and kind to the skin when applied. It’s also a great tool for contouring- as it’s quite a dense shade. Just add to your cheekbones using an angular brush. It’s easy to blend and really gives your face a great natural sun-kissed look that isn’t at all over the top or orange. I would say its near on exactly the same colour as Benefit’s Hoola actually; maybe slightly more terracotta toned, but there’s truly not much in it at all. I am obsessed with this powder, and I genuinely look forward to using it every day! And that’s quite a statement for a gal that’s very set in her make-up ways….
