Bobbi Brown Afternoon Tea at Balthazar

There are numerous themed afternoon teas dotted around the capital, and new offerings are added all the time. The newest addition on the block is the Bobbi Brown tea at Balthazar. Who would have thunk it? Make-up disguised as delicious cakes. Genius!

Balthazar is an adorable, vintage restaurant, just off the main square in Covent Garden; a place with bags of character, and arguably the beauty capital of London town. Charlotte Tilbury, MAC Pro, and stand alone Chanel, Dior, and of course Bobbi Brown stores are all housed here, so the location of this tea is very fitting indeed.

Bobbi herself, is a huge fan of Balthazar; in fact her offices in her native New York are very close to the original restaurant there, so it really is the perfect place to celebrate her 25 year reign in the make up world.

For a very reasonable £25, one can enjoy a unique take on the traditional afternoon tea, with scones, cream, jam, finger sandwiches, and of course, the unforgettable top tier which features the most intricate pastries in the shape of Bobbi Brown's most famous products, including the shimmer brick, long-wear gel eyeliner, pot rouge blush, foundation stick, and my favourite- a huge mousse sponge in shape of a pouty pair of lips.

They really do taste as good as they look, and the staff are more than happy to keep refilling once you have devoured the spread. And if its too much, take away any leftovers you just cant quite manage in a posh paper carrier bag. Fancy huh?

Great value for a themed tea, a lovely setting, and visually fabulous, whats not to love? Available until September, from 3-5. The perfect girly afternoon for make-up lovers everywhere.
