Alexa Chung

Archive by Alexa Chung Harry Blouse

I gave in. I caved. I knew I would!
The Archive by Alexa Chung line is now finally available at Marks and Spencer, and I have to say I think it’s a really cool, directional range with some very unique, yet still trend-led pieces. Il be totally honest however, I’ve never been the biggest of fans of Miss Chung. Yes, she’s uber cool, but I prefer a slightly more feminine style, plus I am a lot curvier than her, so a lot of her ensembles would look ridiculous on me- hence I find her quite hard to identify with. However, when I spotted the pink ‘Harry’ shirt, I simply had to invest.
This blouse (which also comes in white) is similar in style to the Miu Miu Ruffled Cotton Poplin blouse, in that it has an exaggerated neckline that is very Victorian.  It was inspired by a shirt Princess Diana wore in the 80’s apparently! The cuffs and pie crust neck detail make it so statement-like and a great piece for not only work, but also a night out too.
The buttons at the back are so adorable. It’s the shirt of dreams! Plus, I love the pretty pastel shade, and it was just £35, which is a very reasonable price for such a well cut, tailored piece.
I wore this with my flares, and Topshop lace up flats, and have to say I felt suitably dressed up for work, as well as a few drinks afterward! Take a look at the Alexa collection here, its fabulous…
